Beautiful Dreams (2021)

Pan Meihao, a disabled girl from Henan, has no education and background, lives in Beijing, she is gentle and empowering. As a salesperson of medical equipment, she often passes on her philosophy of rehabilitation to her patients, giving them confidence in their lives. However, even the most optimistic person has her helplessness. She can't get a higher salary even if she tries hard, and she can't find a better job even if she is ready to jump ship.

The film has two storylines: firstly, through the life and work of Pan, how she receives the care given by society as a person with a disability and how she takes care of others; secondly, it focuses on her personal career development, the difficulties she faces and how she copes with them. At the beginning of 2021, because of the COVID-19, Pan was forced to stay in Beijing with friends for the Chinese New Year. Under the homesickness, she made her New Year wish: put down roots in Beijing. Although staying in Beijing is destined to be difficult for a girl with a disability, she is determined to go on and realise her dream.
